Hello! I am wondering at what age/size a corn snake should be to be able to live in my 36 x 18 x 18 terrarium. It is zoo med and a little over 50 gallons.

This is a funny one ... it all depends on the size / length of the snake in question.. in my experience the SNAKE would be fine whatever size it is BUT if it’s a 10” worm like snake then you may never see it as they will hide a lot ..another issue with tiny hatchlings is that they can squeeze through the smallest , tiniest holes or gaps !!

I found one squeezing out between the gap between the two sliding glass doors .... I put a plastic ruler in between the glass to stop him escaping !!

Oh and you can make the snake ‘stand out’ by using dark coloured substrate like orchid /repti bark ( unless it’s a dark coloured snake of course) ..
