Cave

Hi, totally new to this site so apologise if similar has been asked before. My son has lovingly made a cave out of air drying clay. If I coat it with a PVA mix as a varnish will it be suitable to use? Thanks in advance

I have no idea about your question, but welcome to the forum. Hope someone else knows!

first thing for me would be to make sure the clay dosnt have toxic chemicals in (i say this because they clay collected from beaches round near where i live is next to an air-port and jet fuel tends to cover everythink nearby)

if the clay is purchesed online or decent stuff for model making it should be fine.

you can coat it with pva when i did this i made it for a bearded dragon and sprinkled calci sand onto the pva before it set... but for snakes i wouldnt recommend that.

pva will be fine, just dont get it two wet when cleaning as eventually it will wash the pva off,

You could use a very low VOC varnish (do a test peice first and make sure it sets) also leave it away from the snake till its 100% cured ;)

Hope this helps
