    Brownish discoloration?

I noticed my adult corn (beautiful anery with excellent contrast) attempting to soak in his waterbowl last week but didn't really think much of it. The past few days he's been quite lethargic and has developed a brownish discoloration, almost like he's dirty, over much of his body. Could this be...

    New adult anery

Just picked up this big boy today from a local breeder. He's my first adult snake, and a gorgeous anery to boot. He weighs in at a hefty 743g. I haven't named him yet, the breeder called him Squeeze since he likes to wrap around your arm and squeeze. I got him home, took a couple pictures and...

    My Custom Display

Built a custom snake display recently. I have an apartment so I don't really have access to many tools other than a drill, so I built this as a "No Cut" or "Almost No Cut" unit. I used pre-cut MDF boards from Home Depot for the sides and shelves. Pre-cut pegboard on the back for ventilation. I...

    Gopher Snake ID Please

I have the opportunity to purchase this Gopher Snake and was wondering which type/morph it is. The guy says he thinks it's Sonoran but he isn't sure. Any help is appreciated.

Magnets to secure lid on Sterilite?

Has anyone ever used magnets (strong ones) to keep the lid secure on a Sterilite/Rubbermade viv instead of binder clips (or whatever else)? I kind of had an "Aha!" moment while driving to work and wondered if anyone had any experience with this?

    Arrrrg Mateys...

My newest acquisition, a banded Cali King, officially named Davey Jones. I got him off of Craigslist:uhoh:. Pretty good deal for the snake and tank with accessories. Too bad the cage was a mess and stunk like hell. Luckily I was already 75% done setting up a sterilite viv for a possible upcoming...

Anyone else getting lots of errors?

Seems like at least 75% of the time I try to open a thread, I get a "503 Service Unavailable" error. Anyone else experiencing this?

    Poo Question

Ok, I am not sure if this is normal or not, it's possible I've just never seen it before. A little background first, I gave my snake a diluted Nix bath about a week ago to treat mites, I haven't seen a mite since. However for the time being, I've kept his cage pretty spartan with only a hide...

    Sterilizing/Disinfecting Cage Items

So, I (well my snake techinically) am currently recovering from a bout of mites (used the Nix method, worked great), the cage currently only has paper towels as a substrate, his water bowl, and a tupperware hide box. When it comes time to add the substrate (aspen) and other cage items (a wooden...

    Yet another feeding question.

Newb question alert. Hehe. Ok, so I have read that you should feed your snake in a container other than its cage, especially if you have the aspen substrate (which I do), now, is there an amount of time the snake should remain in the other container before moving back? I know you aren't supposed...

Hello everyone, my name is Brandon, I'm from east Tennessee, and I just picked up my first snake, a baby Corn Snake. I look forward to gathering knowledge and asking many stupid questions. This looks like a very good place from what I have seen. Thanks!
