Seeing all these breeding pix got me to wondering: if a female snake reaches sexual maturity at 300g/3 years of age, when do snake become 'interested'? I understand that when breeding, snakes should be of the proper weight/size, but in the wild, do they intuitively know when to 'mate'? do they...

My snake currently feeds on petstore P/T mice. Lately, the stock has been scrawny (thin-fleshed). I'm hoping they will get 'fuller' (fatter) once it starts getting warmer. In the meantime, I was thinking of buying online, but don't like the $55 shipping fee. Their rat stock looks more plump...
