The only scaleless gene i know of in Rat snakes is originally from the Texas Rats (don't know the history) so any scaleless Everglades and now black rats will most likely be from Texas/"X" crosses. If you like scaleless rats I wouldn't lose sleep, other than being perturbed at the mislabeling
