most of us keep our hot spots at 82 to 86 degrees (mine is 85), and our cool spots around 75.

Soaking him in a deep tub doesn't sound right to me. There's nothing wrong with soaking, but corn snakes are generally not swimmers. If you plan to soak him, the water need not be more than "His Diameter at the widest point" deep. If it's a 1 inch corn snake, then 1 inch of water is plenty.

If he does not have stuck shed, why would you soak him? Soaking is something you also do for constipation. Is your snake constipated?

You really have not provided any info in your post other than you keep your cage on the cool side.
