Very unusual suggestions by your vet. I'm wondering if she knows the natural habitat of a corn snake? My corns hate soaking and I only resort to it if I suspect one of them isn't passing feces for some reason. Stuck sheds don't need soaking in a large tub, even if that was the problem. Feeding outside the enclosure is not necessary. Most people do that so the corn doesn't have a feeding response every time you open the vivarium. If I had a preference I'd feed in the enclosure and have the corn defecate in an easy to clean container. LOL. Raising the temp on the warm side to 85 is not a problem, but don't be surprised if your corn stays on the cool side most of the time.
