Crazy Critter Lady
Ok so I found my Jungle, Milky, out of his bin, apparently its too small lol. When I went to pick him up I startled him and got my first ever adult snake bite! It did not hurt really, though it did sting a tad until the blood dried, but man he scared the crap outta me! :crazy02::crazy02::crazy02:

Here is the evidence of my initiation!

:)The bite club lol. Glad it didn't hurt, I'd say 95% of the bites I've got from corns didn't. I did get this one tho... such a defensive hungry snake! was the only one of 24 nips from corns (I count them).
LOL once you get tagged by an adult, you see it's really nothing and all the fear of gettin bit is gone.

Yeah but I think he likes how I taste cause he tried to get me again when I went to feed him. No I had not touched any feeders yet, was putting him into his bin first. Moved slow just like normal, lifted from beneath same as always, then bam he bit the coil in my hand! Yup, he bit himself! Kept trying to get at me but I just kept turning so he bit himself. He finally settled down, but sheesh! Could he be trying to bite because he is hungry and I may not be feeding enough? I feed one adult every 7 days. In his former home he got weanling rats each week. 1-3 LIVE. I feed FT mice. Or is he just seeing if he can make me leave him alone?

He may think he's underfed, but I doubt he IS underfed. If he is like Benchley (my cali king), he is just a lunatic. ;)

Its only the second time he has gone after me, so I do not think he is nuts. I made sure the guy who bought him is aware of his recent quirks. I hate hearing about folks who bought a snake who is bitey without being told. I mean two strikes does not necessarily make him bitey. The first time I scared him and this time it was feeding day. He has never struck at my husband, maybe he has a preference to males?

Maybe he does prefer your husband. I'm sure it's possible. As far as weirdness goes, I do have to say that PJ disclosed what Benchley was like so I knew he was a nutcase. I like despite that.
