i dont like popping my snakes to find their sex because if you do it wrong you can badly damage them

You could also do that with a probe if you jabbed it in there to hard.

That's a tough one. I'm going with male, because I think there is a gradual taper, not a sharp taper behind th vent. BUT s/he looks a teeny bit chunky right before the vent, which I think is fat, so it _could_ be a female. Time for you to learn probing!!

Ooo... I think I'd have to go for male. Though it is a bit chunky at the vent I don't think it's stumpy enough to be a female... Then again they're tricksy little critters

My vote is Male, though that one seems to be in the middle of the two extremes for tapering and not! lol! Now you HAVE to get it probed just so we can see who was right! lol

I looked at him again yesterday, having forgotten my original answer, and guessed male again...

Just my opinion, so take it with a grain of salt: I always felt unsure looking at pictures like this for sexing. It used to seem like many people had a good eye for it but I was never very confident either way. However on this one, I thought it looked like an obvious female with very dramatic tapering just past the vent and a short tail. I would vote a resounding female, but it seems like there's a lot of disagreement over this one with many people voting male. If you find out for sure what it is, be sure to let us know.
