I heard you can tell (maybe 90%) a corn's gender based on the tail/vent, so any guesses on this one? I was told she's a girl, but they didn't know for sure...

Looks to have a quick taper past the vent so I would agree with the original sexing...female.
 
I would say female by the picture and since on BP.net you said the previous owner said they found eggs in the tank last year. ;)

Well there ya go. I thinks eggs would be a pretty good indicator of the snakes sex. Visual sexing is the least reliable way to sex a snake.
 
I agree with it looking female, but I do have a snake that falls into that 10% you mentioned. My Jimmy looks like an unmistakable female at the vent, but he's definitely a boy when popped.

So if you want to breed, I'd have someone experienced to use a probe.
