Thanks for the thoughts and support SnakeCreations. Yes, Slade has been active and healthy in those conditions since I've gotten him, and he moved into the larger tank with a better temp gradients 6 months ago.
I'm afraid I've got bad news. I got home and prepared the other tank for him to be in. I didn't want to have him in the other tank for fear that some of the residual scents would be in the air. He was curled up at a slightly odd angle (slightly shifted on his side instead of balanced properly), and is unresponsive. I still moved him into the other tank, which is now in the bedroom far away from any scents or anything. I haven't gotten any response, though he isn't completely limp and his mouth is remaining closed rather than open.
I'm hoping that if he is able to relax in a separate room with good temps (I'm using the temp gun to verify), that he'll recover, though I know that isn't likely.
