Mine was taken by a friend. It's an eastern mud snake we found while road cruising in the Everglades

Looks like a very healthy mud snake. Love the iridescence on the scales!

Hatched out and photographed myself,.... yes it is a hold back

Mine I took myself but it's not all that great. The one I had before was a baby picture of the same snake that I photoshopped a little bit. I just put a background in it that I thought was pretty.

All of my avatars I take myself. Trend for me seems to be my bairds ratsnakes... just because they are gorgeous and silvery.

Wouldn't call it amazing but mine does get comments. I don't think I've ever changed it! Unfortunately it was taken with a really old phone but it was all I could lay my hands on at the opportune time!

Most of my avatars have been my own pics, even if they aren't snakes!

It's been so fun to get everyone's comments.

Tracee, I have wondered about yours. How did that situation come about? (Do snakes yawn? LOL) What kind of snake is in the picture?

Has anyone noticed wretchedprocess' avatar? I'm curious about that one, too.
