Unplug the heat mat on the night? is this substrate Ok?
it's hard to tell from pictures. Most of us feed by weight. The meal (pinky, mouse, etc) should weight about 10% to 13% of the snake's weight. So if you weigh your snake before feeding, and lets say for example the snake weight 22 grams, then you'd offer about 2.5 to 3 grams of food. It could be 1 pinky that weighs that or 2 that total that, etc....
That was a great advice.
Will take him on a weight and find it out.
I cant see if he have pooped. Thursday he got pinkey in the pet store and i bought him on saturday. Think it is too early to poop in the petstore, and must i dig to find it or does they use to poop on top in a corner like most of other reptiles?
I give mine humid (or moist) hides all the time. They go in there when they need to and stay out of there when they don't. I use organic sphagnum moss. It smells good. It holds moisture for a while without being too wet. It has some natural anti-microbial properties. I swear my snakes take little snake saunas in their humid hides. They always smell so nice when they come out!
Hi Patmart. Thanks for your kind thoughts for the people here facing fire and earthquake in the West and hurricane in the Southeast.
(Just a note of forum etiquette. We usually try to keep a thread on topic. When you go far off topic it is called "hijacking" a thread. Of course, we all need to learn how things work, so please don't be discouraged. This topic will be seen by more people if you start a new thread in the general chit chat forum.)
