Flipping Water Bowl, but Why?

My corn snake continues to flip her water bowl and go to the bathroom shortly after I clean her tank from top to bottom. Each time she's excreted waste, I've cleaned up after her. Each time I do this, she flips her water bowl, goes to the bathroom, and sits on top of her hide box (which is plenty moist inside). I'm unsure as to why she is doing this or how to get her to stop. Any ideas?

it could be an accident. Might be that your snake feels startled about a big hand coming in and changing things and in rushing about knocks the bowl over. Maybe put a rock in the bowl to help weigh it down or buy a heavier bowl? I use a ceramic with my corn. You could also try spot cleaning after she's out of the tank.

If the water bowl is at all hollow underneath she might be trying to get under to hide. I would suggest trying a different bowl temporarily and see if it helps. A smooth, heavy ceramic bowl should be hard to tip over.
