Trying to change my avatar, but every picture I try it says it is too large, and the maximum size is 100x100, yet my current picture is 160x142! And I can see many other people have images much larger than this. Why is this not working?

Maybe the dimension size limit changed? Or the file size could possibly be too big.

It's only 18kb.
And yes, I did think of that, but what's up with the old avatar size?

Yea, new maximum size seems to be 100 by 100 pixels. Just tested it.

It still allows 160x160 images for me

Why would they, though? I don't really think having a slightly larger picture is a huge perk, or would encourage people to contribute.

I'm not bothered if I have to have a smaller avatar... I'm just curious as to what's going on.

Slightly larger avatars is one of the perks.

Another perk is being able to edit our posts which I had to do in this thread because I typed "lareger" on accident.

Are you attempting to load the image from another site, or are you uploading the image from your computer? You have to upload it from your computer . . .

Yes, I was uploading from my computer, but I'm fairly sure I tried both options, with the same result.
