Sweet Caramel

Ripley shed for me end of last week and after gobbling down two pinks on Friday he looked ready for an update photo shoot. His little "motley" spots are much yellower than before the shed, although it doesn't show up too well on these photos.

I don't think he was too thrilled about being in the tree today as every time he poked his head out, he tried to reach me or the camera to get down! Still managed to get some pretty good shots of this sweet little caramel motley.
Enjoy!

Lovely carmot! Do you blur the backgrounds or is the camera on a really heavy macro mode?

Thanks everyone for the compliments! On Ripley and on my photography.

My camera isn't anything fancy, just a Fujifilm Finepix, but it does have a rather decent macro mode that I have been using on all the smaller snakes so far. Some of them are so small to the lens that the camera isn't sure what to focus on, them or the background, so sometimes it takes me a dozen shots before I get one that comes out right.
