I don't think anyone's denying him his choice (not sure how we could go about that anyway). Just pointing out that it's based on an erroneous assumption that he's reproducing some kind of natural condition.

The debate doesn't get old for us, in the same way that it doesn't get old for you.

Nope, doesn't get old for me either.
At least we don't lie.
We don't say we are leaving the site and then come back and post the next day. So not only is Legion a horrible snake keeper, and has admitted to being a drunken troll, but is also a liar. Hardly a great example for this community.

David, you can do what you want. But feeding ft is far superior to live feeding in every way, and the best keepers feed that way.
The uneducated, the cruel, and the ....well let's just say "disturbed" feed live.
Unless of course the snake would starve to death otherwise, and those animals are few and far between.

You have no proof of this. Not as black and white as you think.

So have at it.

Not factual.

But I forgive you, you're an emotional lady. Somehow I think you're glad that I'm back.

When you keep a pet, it is your responsibility to take proper care of it. Exposing it to worms and parasites, and possible bite wounds for no good reason is not taking proper care of it. This creature depends on you for its life, and putting your own selfish whims above its well being is more than disgusting.

How is it not superior?
No parasites
no bite wounds
no driving to the pet shop
and easier on the wallet

the only thing missing is that tingling down below.....

Decent keepers do what benefits the animals, not themselves. And if a snake eats f/t there is NO benefit to feeding live.

Cant we all just get along...LOL figured someone wouldnt beable to resist, just face it you love the debate. Back to my small colony for feeding, so I guess the best way to start a parasite free colony or as close as one can get would be to purchase a couple of adult mice, from a trusted breeder, and have them tested by the vet. After which I could CO gas them and vaccum pack them for the freezer. That way I would have what I needed saved up and could sale the rest. On the plus side I would know exactly what they where feed for nutritional purposes, and this would be cheaper for me as breeding containers, and extra room for the project wouldnt be a problem.

I have realized the error of my ways! In a sudden epiphany it dawned on my how bestial my practices of feeding live truly were.

You win! I am hence enlightened, and have changed my feeding practices.

Since I am a person of perfect morality, here is the ONLY and SUPERIOR way to feed:

I have now built a mouse sanctuary in my back yard. I go to every pet store and buy all the live mice I can and rescue them from the abyss.
They are escorted to private limos and taken to Mousetopia.
ALL my mice live a long and fulfilling life in their little town that I've created for them. Mousetopia is equipped with water parks, tropical resorts, and hotels with casinos and little mouse restaurants. I love my mice like their my own kind. After forming families and creating loving bonds, once grandpa mouse dies of old age he is put in a casket and carried down to the snake's vivarium in a mouse funeral march. The casket then opens from the bottom and Jerry III, may his soul rest eternally, falls down into the snake crib as I get on my knees to thank the mouse for his noble sacrifice.
Then my pampered spoiled baby mama's snake child is hand fed because my baby darling would never kill a thing!
