mice breeding

My gf decided that she wants to breed mice for feeders. We got 1 male and 2 females. Have them housed in a standard 20 gal tank with screen top. Aspen bedding, water bottle, and food dish. Is there anything else that we need to keep them happy?

Mine love their running wheel, and I put empty paper towel tubes in there too. They don't like to be out in the open all the time, so anything you can give them to hide in will help them feel secure.

Definitely a wheel, also a house of some kind. I have the best success with the little plastic igloos. They like grass huts too but they'll destroy them. I tear strips of newspaper for mine to nest with, although they'll do it themselves if you line the bottom with newspaper. Females make better nests than males, but some females are way more enthusiastic about it, even when they don't currently have babies!
