And here are a few pictures of him from April, where he is fully opaque now. His whites are actually white, and any pink is from actual pink, not just from light shining through him. Haha.

Ooh I just found out that Solace's sire, pictured at the very beginning of this thread, is for sale. **WANT** He's an opal motley.

I really need to find a mommy or a husband who can say no to me! I'm terrible at saying no to myself!!

Still playing catch up here. Solace is beautiful. I especially like the pictures with the painted rock. So sweet!

Thank you. My Auntie makes little name rocks for all my snakes, she spoils them. She has snakes too now. LoL.

2017 update

Solace is now all caught up in size. He's my biggest after Ripley (my overweight ultramel anery). He's 430g and 4'. He's holding on to his pink coloration, which is great! I've read that opals can sometimes fade to white after a few years, but so far I think he's as pink as ever. Of course it is the HARDEST color to get an accurate picture of, but here is my best effort.

Solace is still a sweet, sweet natured boy. He hangs out on a shelf in his cage 90% of the time, so he's always visible which is great! Definitely another favorite, this one.

I'm also happy to report that although I still don't see any kind of visual difference when he goes blue, I've gotten fairly accurate at predicting his blue phase by observing his behavior, and by how his skin feels. Makes me feel like I kinda know what I'm doing. LOL

Somehow I only ended up with 4 decent pictures of him. I guess knowing what I'm doing stops at picture taking.
