I bought a trio about 3 mounths ago and 3 weeks later 1 of my females gave birth to 3 healthy babies. I fed off 1 baby and kept the other 2 thinking they were female but 1 ended up being a male and the other a female. So I took the female who did not give birth and put her in another cage with the weaned baby male and kept the female baby with mom and dad. Now the female who gave birth the first time has not produced nothing since.
How long until the male can be a father and female a mother?
Why would my female not produce again? I never removed the male.

The male should be ready emidiatly after, the female should be given a few weeks rest before breeding again.

Is it possible the female bred before you got her, and the male you have just isnt doing his job?

I was thinking the same thing that the amle is infertile.I have taken him out and put the baby male with the mother and sister to see what happens. The looks sick but I cant tell I am no mouse expert but he seems to act ok. After birth it takes about 8 weeks for them to become fertile, am I right or wrong.
