I had to get another snake so I'd quit obsessing over Nim, my anery. She has health problems so I limit her handlings to twice a week so not to tax her. Zar the snow has become a welcome addition to the house and hasn't been that much of a financial burden.
You might want to watch that hard bump on his back. When my 7 year old, Cornelius, got one, it kept growing, so I took him to the vet, and she diagnosed it as a tumor. It was operated on, but she couldn't get it all, so it grew back, and eventually killed him.
i'd say lower the temp for sure, when it reaches 85 i tend to turn off the heat for a bit, the cool end for me is ~75 - 77, and the warm is usually ~80 - 82. she still sleeps either on the cool side or in the middle though, unless shes digesting... then she sits in the warm hide
