I have a wooden log type hide thing, however Kasai - my hatchling - seems to prefer to hide in the deeper parts of the aspen.

I have a storebought cave for the warm side and for my shedding humidity box I use a plastic hamster igloo that I sawed the tunnel entrance off of (after finely sanding).

Tree Bark! ("Woof!" said the tree)

While camping at the state park, I carefully selected a couple pieces of bark I thought might make good hides. I didn't need a huge tree, cause he's a baby. As you can see I just piled up aspen on one end and it's very dark inside! This is on the warm side of the viv. Before using it I soaked it in a mild bleach solution, rinsed it off and let it air dry.

all of my snakes are adults now 4+ft and I've used cheap plastic waste baskets cut in half for hides. I also use the half basket to scoop out the aspen on cleaning day.
