It wouldn't hurt to increase the hot spot temp, but if the ambient tempts are not too low, it's not critical.
You can put a large water dish in for your snake to soak in whenever he wants to, but putting him in a big tub twice a day is not necessary.
Feeding outside the enclosure is a personal preference, but not necessary either. Some swear that feeding inside the enclosure causes aggression, but that's a myth. If the only time you open the enclosure is to feed, that is what they will expect.
