Speckled Graybands Project

Here is a project that Don (SMR) and I have been working on and now they are here with me. The females have no bands but pretty much all speckles. The males retain more banding but not all males are as orange as this guy. We hope to get some babies out of the two females I have here.

I had one like your female years ago, that I sold to a guy (can't remember his name off hand) in South Carolina, I believe when I decided to get out of the gray bands. Yeah, it was tough letting that one go.

Hah! I was rummaging around in the den, and found a few pics I took of that gray banded king I mentioned a while back. Too bad the photos originally posted are no longer viewable here, though. One of the reasons I recommend that people not use the *free* photo hosting sites, as very often the ability to remotely link to those photos just goes away.

Anyway, here is a pic of that animal I mentioned hatching out years ago. Wish I could remember who I sold it to. I can see his face in my mind, but the name just escapes me.

That looks alot like mine although you couldn't tell since my pics are gone. Got to get those back up.
