Loves to eat, but quick question. When I'm feeding him he will eat the fuzzies right from my hand, no striking or restricting just gently opens his mouth and takes the mouse from me, is this desirable? Normal?
i think its qutie normal, think of it this way, you dont have to worry bout him biting you!! lol. just dont feed him live, otherwise he wont know what to do
Yeah I never would have fed him live simply for the mite thing, but recently it dawned on me that (you're right) he probably wouldn't know what to do and just get stressed out, so I guess I'm kinda lucky, next feeding (wednesday) I will try to get a pic of him taking it from my hand!
with mine, i just have to put the mouse down, and bofroe it even touches the bottom of the bath, she shoots out and grabs it and coils it. im allways pullin my hand away quickly so she dont get me, i think i should invest in feeding tongs! lol. but im not gonna watch either of my snakes eat for a while. my male isnt eating because its breeding season, and my female stopped yesterday becuase shes gravid!! hmmm, they then waste food
