Not really. But I don't follow football close enough to make any truly informed decisions. It will mostly be based off what teams I objectively think are better than the other. Hence why I will probably do pretty bad!

That's what I like about this contest. Anyone can pick teams for any reason. Last year there was a week that 50% of the games were upsets so it really threw everyone off.

You don't really need to be too involved in the intimate details of the league. All you need to do is follow rankings, and utilize interesting statistics every now and again. You seem pretty mathematical, so you may find use of this during the regular season; http://www.nfl.com/standings?category=league. It should give you a bit of guidance if your unsure. BTW, don't go with the prettiest logo's - Cincinnati will absolutely ruin you!!.

So when does this start, when do the first picks need to be in by? Does it start in pre-season? Or the regular season.
