Question

Every once in a while female reptiles will ovulate and lay eggs without ever having been present with a male. The fun is when this happens in species that have never been documented to be parthenogenic, and the assumed infertile eggs actually produce offspring.

I have a Picta gecko that regularly lays an infertile clutch each year, having never been paired. My female Merten's day gecko will also do this. I have males to place with them, just haven't done so.

So yes, there is potential for your female corn to lay eggs without a male ever being with her. When she is of size/age it may be best to at least provide her a moist hide during the laying season just in case she ovulates. Looking at your photo, you've got a while for this.

Last year I had two females that I didn't breed because they were only 2 years old. Both laid slug eggs which is common, but still surprised me. I had 10 young females the prior year and none of them laid.
