Well said, daddio. There is no one size fits all solution. If I were in your shoes I'd be using bottled water as well. I also believe in erring on the side of safety. So if in doubt go with the safer alternative.

I use bottled spring water for my babies and Brita water for my adults. .

Thank you all; I am now only using bottled spring water for her, not that I've seen her go near it much.

You'd be surprised. Hold her over her water bowl next time you return her to her cage. My snake, "Rufus" almost always stops for a big drink of water as I return him to his cage. He will still be wrapped around my arm, while gulping down his water. I do occasionally see him drinking in his cage, but I swear he drinks more often when I return him to his cage. He always gets a big gulp of water after his meals too.
