Question Hot Glue ok for baby snakes?

I recently got one of these as a hide for my baby snake which should be arriving soon:

It's made for hamsters, but I thought it would make a cool hide so I bought it. Only problem is that there are a couple rough edges on the inside (only in the top; the plastic inside is rough. I was wondering if it would be ok to smooth these over by covering the rough part with hot glue? Would that be safe for the hatchling? (If not, I can always just give the hide to my sister's hamster)
If it's safe I'm also going to hot glue a rock to the base so it's weighted and won't fall over.

Thanks!

Sarah

I think it would be ok, but why not just sand it a little?

I use hot glue to stick thermostat/thermometer probes to the inside of the enclosure to ensure they stay in the correct spot. So long as it's cool before the snakes go near it, it's fine to use.

I also use hot glue to attach suction cups to vines so I can stick them on the tank wall. It dries hard and smooth, so I don't see why it would be bad for the snake.
