Mm.. let's see..

I'm 19, 20 in less than a month. Currently i'm not studying anywhere, but i'm working. I do respite care for autistic kids.

I've always loved reptiles. My daddy used to go out and catch Garter snakes for me, but i'd always let them go after a little while because I thought it was better for 'em to live in the wild. I used to own an iguana too but i didn't have the resources or space to keep him, so I sold him to somebody who did.

I'm currently addicted to Riding, Cornsnakes and Pythons, and Snowglobes!

Current animals:

0.1 '02 Creamsicle Cornsnake (Diesel)

My next purchases will be a male Corn, i'm not sure what color though, and a Ball Python. Probably a male, but we shall see.

As for the non Reptiles..

1.2 Dogs, a Greyhound (Cody)
Dalmation (Lacy)
and a Border Collie (Fly)

2.0 Cats, Common Grey Tabby Housecats (Mulder and Tangaloor)

2.0 Horses, A Chestnut Arab (Leggs)
and an Appaloosa/Arab Cross (Kylos)

3.1 Fish, 3 Bettas (Hey, Dude, and Where's my Car) Though I do believe Dude is on his last legs and won't make it until tomorrow. So let's make that 2.1 fish.
and a Giant 4 year old Goldfish (Filth)

4.3 Birds, 3 Canaries (Millard Fillmore, Teckishii and Eagle)
2 Finches (Mouse and Keyboard)
1 Budgie (Ugly Bob)
and a Lovebird (Mickey)

Well, I'm Neil and I live in the original Nottingham (the one in the UK). I'm 16 and originally from Edinburgh. I'm in my last year of secondary school and, next year, will be starting sixth-form doing English Language, Literature, Biology and History.

Well here goes... My name is rhiannon, like my username suggests, I'm 13 and I've got two corn snakes. At the moment I'm in year eight at school, (is year 8 called something different in america?). When I grow up I hope to be a vet that specialises in snakes and other reptiles. This has been my ambition for about 4 years now, and these forums have really been a help, because i can talk to other people around the world interested in snakes.
Thanks for reading:D

I'm (ugh!) 43, been married for 8 years and have 2 rugrats (Jennifer is 5 and Charlie will be 3 in Jan). I'm a Certified Veterinary Technician (since 1983) and when I wasn't working in my chosen profession, I was working at Weeki Wachee Springs attraction performing in their Exotic bird and Birds of Prey shows, as well as their Wildlife Rehab.

I've always been interested in all living things, but the first herps I co-owned were veiled chameleons (they were my husband's). During our first year of marrage, he found a hatchling corn under the mobile we were living in. Her name is Norma (I still have her) and she started my addiction. Within a month, we purchased 4 more corns (snow, amel, aneryth and normal double het snow). The next year, we added 8 red-tail boas and 5 normal zigzag corns. Things compounded from there.

After my daughter was born, we sold all the chameleons (too much time to care for them). My husband lost interest in the herps in only a couple of years, but they have remained my main hobby. I'm up to 65 corns at last count, but the number will increase in the spring, and I still have the boas. I also have a German Shepherd and 2 cats.

Other interests include my artwork (but I haven't been able to create any since the children), horses (but I currently don't own one), and....? Guess I don't have much of a life beyond work, family and my snakes. Maybe that's why I love my snakes so much! They're my only excape!

Well I am 31. Live in washington state and have 2 snow corns currently. I am originally from miami fl and grew up playing with wild herps all my life. It took me 8 years to get my wife to take to the ideal but a month before i turned 30 she asked me what i wanted for my birthday. Ofcourse i say a snake. To my shocking suprise she said, "ok as long as i never have to go near it and you only get 1". Lol. She never went near my first snow and life was good. Needless to say the only one rule was broken a year later when i show up with another baby snow :p Now I am in the process of getting a creamsicle and a candy cane in the next few months. Yes i drive her up the wall with my obsession but she knows it makes me happy. It is also a hobby that i share with my 6 year old daughter. Besides that i am a network engineer. I have one child and 95lbs golden retriever (only 1 and a half) and a orange white tabby (wife's mother's day present). The funniest thing she says is, "Just because you bought a new tank for the snake does not mean you can get more baby snakes". Ofcourse i temporarily agreed and now its " can you atleast wait a few months before getting another".

Thus is my story.

Hey, I'm John.

I have loved snakes and other reptiles for as long as I can remember. I had a normal corn when I was about 8 but it choked on a pinkie I think and died :( . I have 2 snakes, but I want more. I would consider my snow corn as my first snake and it is about 16 inches long. I just got an albino banded kingsnake. It is kinda frisky right now, but it is calming down. It is also about 16 inches long. They have been awesome pets so far and I can't wait for them to get bigger.

BTW-Simon how could you afford having all those snakes  . I think I might want a salmon boa next since I saw yours, they are really cool. How big do they get?

Hello!!!

My name is Terri. I live in Tennessee and I am a veterinary technician (soon to be licensed). I am 34 yrs old, married, and have 1 daughter, Tobi. My daughter and I have 30 snakes right now. 25 corns, 1 creamsicle, 1 tangerine Honduran milksnake, 1 Pueblan milksnake, and 2 california kingsnakes. We have only had snakes since February of this year...you could say we got addicted VERY fast! I also have two cats, a dog, and lots of fish! Too bad my husband doesn't like animals...poor thing...he has to put up with SO much:D :D :D

It's been nice meeting all of you!

Here's the pic of Norma, my first corn, that you requested. She's still my husband's favorite. He fell in love with her the first night we had her. She climbed up to the top of his head and coiled up in his hair. Stayed there for several hours, probably sleeping, but it's hard to tell with snakes.
