Mold in substrate

BCRRT

I got my first cornsnake a few weeks ago. I got eco earth bricks for the substrate. One brick made a lot of substrate so I put a layer in the aquarium and left the rest in a large bowl for later use. I noticed today that the substrate in the bowl (not whats in the aquarium) has mold on it. Is this ok to use or should I throw it away?

I would throw it away. That stuff molds super easy. Aspen is generally considered a better substrate.

God. I HATE Eco-Eartth. I once put that stuff in the tank, put a hide over the heat mat and at the end of the day, when I lifted up the hide, the inside of the hide was dripping wet from condensation. Never again.
