Success - feeding

Today's feeding with my new IJ Carpet Python was a success. Second attempt at trying to switch her to rats instead of chicks. Thawed out a medium rat and a chick. Rubbed the chick on the rat and she took it.

Her previous owner fed her chicks, they would feed her 3 a week, I would rather feed her one rat instead of three chicks. She is a tad underweight so hoping we can put on some weight.

I understand, I have had a couple and still have one very underweight snake here. She is probably fine and just digesting slowly. Sometimes my guys does the same and if ambien is high enough is rarely a problem.

Well that is absolutely depressing/horrible feeling. I've never had a snake regurgitate, my new carpet python just regurgitated her rat she took two days ago. Why would she wait that long?
