New Jersey gun owners taking a stand...

Liberal voters (primarily Seattle/King County) voted in a law with ridiculous restrictions. ALL semi-automatic rifles are now labeled as "assault rifles", and have new restrictions.
There's a load of willful ignorance, people believing that these restrictions will prevent crime, get rid of gun violence. They think it's "common sense gun regulations", and refuse to see that the only people it will affect are law abiding citizens.

I guess that was the intent of the original post in this thread. People need to just take a stand and say NO when some idiots post laws that violate the US Constitution. The reason they get away with it is because the population ALLOWS them to.

And yes, state laws DO have to comply with the restrictions upon government listed within the US Constitution and amendments. Or more accurately, the federal government was only granted the powers authorized in those documents. In order for a state to join the union of the United States of America, they had to agree to comply with the US Constitution. Otherwise they were not welcome to join the club.

Note: Supremacy Clause of Article VI of the US Constitution.
