How do you all take such good pics?

I have an iPod which takes decent pics outside, but inside they are grainy. I am new to iPod, any trick to get better pics?

Teatime
Lighting, the right background, and getting the subject to hold still. Try a contrasting background (a dark background for a light subject or a light background for a dark subject).
