Injured snake

So I have a wild caught earth snake, and when I first got it, I don’t remember seeing anything wrong with it. He just shed and I was checking to make sure there wasn’t any stuck shed and his tail looked a bit weird. Looked closer and he has like a chunk taken out of his tail. He eats earth worms.
(The pic with me holding the snake is the day I got it)
