Injured Crested Gecko

I took Vincent (formerly Ares) out today and noticed he has a dark spot on his head and a bit of his crest is messed up. There seems to be some skin/crest hanging off, too. I think he may have scraped his head on the top of his cage (his favorite spot is on top of an Exo Terra background). I took the background out so hopefully it doesn't get worse or happen again. Is there anything else I do for him? I figured the wound will heal with a few sheds but I don't know if I need to assist him with anything. Advice would be much appreciated.
(Sorry for the bad lighting in pictures.)

you can put some Neosporin, bacitracin, or other topical antibiotic, in light application, on the wound to aid in healing/deter infection. But otherwise you should be able to keep cage setup as normal. It's possible that he might have gotten stuck up top as you hinted and became spooked, which could have lead to him causing the wound.
