how long will they live

haven't had any real experience with this as i haven't had mine anywhere near long enough but with proper care i think 12 to 20 years is about right... :) ---jim

I'd say 10 is min but with bad health (little exercise it could be less). Up to 22yr is the longest it will comonly live but think about 15yr for good care and feeding is right.

Does anyone here know how many years powerfeeding takes off the life expectancy of corns? I don't powerfeed-- I couldn't imagine never handling my snakes, 36 hours after feeding is long enough to be without them. But I have heard a lot that decreasing lilfe expectancy is one of the drawbacks of powerfeeding, and was wondering how much a difference it made.

OOOO the awful debate about powerfeeding... I can see that its going to come up again... I dont think powerfeeding baby corns decreases the life expectincy of corns... since they are young and need alot of food... but when they get up to about 1 year... powerfeeding becomes bad because of overweight issues... its just like a overweight person... they have a shorter life expectincy since they are obess its the same with corns... but powerfeeding young is a totally diffrect catagory
