Brown crusty scales on head & back.

Hi.

Ripley has had some weird brown crusty scales on the top of her snout, kind of from her nostrils to the middle of her forehead, and then the very tip of her bottom lip, and on the odd scale going down her back as well. It didn't look inflamed or infected, nor did it look particularly scabby. I've had a snake with a ripped off scale, so I know what that looks like and this wasn't it. It just looked rough and discolored, almost eroded, but didn't seem to bother her at all.

She finally shed, with no problems, and it is way better but not quite 100% gone. I tried to take pictures of the shed, but it's so small and transparent... well, anyway, here's the best I could do. It's easier to see on the shed than on her since she never stops moving, and she is kind of a tan color anyway.

Anyone wanna take a stab at what this is? I do see her rubbing her nose on the acrylic window a lot, but never the top of her head. My best guess is that she tried to force her way under something and got kinda scratched maybe? But those scales look almost pitted rather than scraped. I don't know. Any guesses will at least give me something to research.

Thanks!!!
