Field herping florida

So I am looking through the Florida laws a little and it seems that if I am to find any non native animals while herping or fishing for that matter I am to keep it or kill it? I don't think I am going to find a burm or retic where I am but you never know I have driven further for less. So on that note anyone want to go herping with me

There's a class you can take about the non- natives, on line, and then a handling class you can go to, if you can get in. FWC has it on their website. You have to be careful about "possessing" herps in state or national parks, even the non-natives. That means any sort of handling. Best to just photograph in situ. You can't "possess" venomous at all without a permit. It's good to carry a big hook if you need to move a venomous snake off the road.

I will have a hook in my car once I get one but the only snake I have seen is a dead one on the road however did see my first armadillo yesterday.
