That quadruple homozygous animal there . . . the odds of breeding it from hets is 1 in 256. At an average of ten viable eggs per clutch, even if you're double clutching every single year, it would take nearly 13 years to see one show up, and THAT'S just statistically speaking! It might never appear at all . . .;)

your odds on a pewter are 1 in 16 per egg.

The good news: it appears that charcoal masks anery, so any of them who also pick up the anery gene (1/4th of the pewters) will likely be indistinguishable from pewters.

And with two offspring from snow X pewter:

het blood/charcoal/anery/amel X
het blood/charcoal/anery/amel

your odds on pewter are 3 in 64 per egg. (slightly less than 1 in 16)

The reason is that 1/4th of the individuals who pick up the charcoal and bloodred genes (1/16th or 4/64ths) will also pick up the amel gene, and those obviously won't look like pewters. ;)
