Now, that's gruesome. I may not know much about reptiles but that's cruel. I mean, if she regularly threw healthy twins, I ~could~ see that. But if she throws a lot of dead babies & deformed babies, that is just cruel.

I find this stuff fascinating because it sheds light on development & how it works. After all, all of us vertebrates start off as one unspecialized cell, a fertilized egg, and turn into us.

But intentionally breeding for it is just wrong.

I don't see how Oren finding bicephalic animals sad is an excuse to insult him. That's just downright rude IMO. He has the right to express his opinion and not to agree that it's 'cool'. And why ask if his breakfast has been urinated in? Usual practice in some households? His posts weren't overly emotional, unlike the nasty replies.

This is the post thats causing all this fuss?
come on now folks. He knows his stuff, and explained why he did not enjoy the pics. PERHAPS it was a little cold, but so what? further on he goes on to explain he was tempering the 'oh look cool' reaction with some real life, which is often a little sad.
Some people find it interesting, some people do not. again, i have to ask: so what? these are opinions for discussion, not a basis for personal attack.
So he didnt like the pictures and had a strong opinion on the subject. That doesnt mean 'someone pissed on his breakfast', it doesnt mean hes not a nice person, and it doesnt mean that the OP isnt welcome here.
ALL it means is what it says. He wouldnt be excited about a two headed snake.

as for all the comments based on the 'your not a mod' theme...they are out of place. it comes out sounding like 'your not the boss of me, nah nah nah" and i'm sure thats not the effect you wanted.

To me, personal attacks are what keeps 'discussions' and 'arguments' sepperate.
i come here for discussions. not arguments.

Meh, I think Oren's tone and way of conveying information is just different than everyone else's, and it can come off as caustic at times. However, I know it's not intentional, and everyone IS entitled to their own opinion and allowed to convey it in their own voice.

I found it interesting because I'd never seen such a thing before. I still would like to witness it in real life for the novelty. I do not advocate breeding such animals or purchasing a two-headed animal from a breeder that breeds for the mutation. I see nothing wrong with posting a thread about snakes on a snake-forum. It's no different than the threads I've seen on "scaleless" varieties - those are mutated too and probably suffer as a result of their mutation, which is commonly bred for. Yet they're still a novelty, and still worthy of discussion. Information should not be censored.

I am sorry for placing the post in the wrong place originally - I'm somewhat new. Peace brothers.
