Shipping Snakes

I'm sure this has been done to death *somewhere* on here, but I didn't see anything relevant on the first two pages of search results for "shipping" :shrugs:

So... how to ship snakes? I'm pretty familiar with how to pack them and such, it's more what companies and options to use? My understanding was that most people do it "illegially" (ie, most companies won't ship snakes if you ask them, but people just don't tell what they're shipping). I heard FedEx had a new branch going for herpers, where you could get certified to ship snakes, but calling FedEx got me a very unhelpful help desk person who adamantly maintained "we don't ship poisonous animals, so no snakes" (yes, I tried to explain that I wouldn't ship venemous snakes, but somehow she didn't get that not all snakes are venemous, or something)
I'd like to try selling some of my leftover 2005 babies online (too few to go to a show with, but they're just sitting here...) but I've tried figuring out this shipping thing before and felt totally confused on the best way to do it.
