Whole Snake Shed Found

I was walking through the woods hunting and out of the corner of my eye I spotted something out of place. It was a fully intact snake shed. I was wonder if there was a way you can tell what kind or snake it is from. I live in Southern New Jersey.
 
Probably a Black Racer or a Black Rat Snake.
Racers have smooth scales.
A shed Black Rat Snake skin would have slight keels along the back.
Here's a Black Rat Snake shed that I saw in a tree in late July:
