I don't have a red light, but I know people who do. They turn it on to see their snake explore, drink water, do snake activities. They turn it off when they go to bed because the snake doesn't need it.

I'm very happy that you love your snake so much!

I've got a heat lamp I have it for 12 hours then I turn it down in the evening to 23c
Then George comes to have a look around and do snake things
But I do leave the heat mat on 25c

Good. Always leave the heat mat on, with its thermostat.
