Mystic Exotics projects

MysticExotics

(formerly NWHeather)
I'll use this thread to post links to the projects I have done.

The two pairings that started it all.
In 2011, I borrowed Taz, from my friend Tara Smith. Taz was produced by SMR, out of an Okeetee Tessera project.

One of the females I paired with Taz, Kaia, an unknown history Miami female, that had the "zombie head".
For first generation Miami Tessera's, we ended up with more Miami looking babies than I expected. I figured it would take a few generations to get that look. Some babies from further generations do have more of the Okeetee coloring, as well as some with thicker borders. I plan on working towards refining the Miami coloring and incorporate the thicker borders.
That thread is HERE.
The original thread of their hatching photos is HERE.

The other female I paired with Taz was Mica, a WC Alabama.
This clutch produced a few non Tessera babies with Aztec like patterning. We called them "Taztecs".
That thread is HERE.

In 2013, I paired a Coral Snow (SMR) with a RF het Fire Tessera, that I got from Pikes Peak Reptiles (formerly Colorado Corns).
That thread is HERE.

In 2014, was my 2nd generation of Miami Tessera's. I paired my holdback male, Brokk, with an LBR line Miami female. That thread is HERE.

From that clutch was Echo, a fabulous female that is now owned by my friend Rachel, is here on loan to be paired with my Candy Cane male from Nanci LeVake. You can see her HERE.

In 2015, I paired a Miami Tessera X Miami Tessera clutch to produce babies to test for Super Tessera's. I wanted to see if there were any markers that we can find to determine which are Supers.
That thread is
HERE.

I will be testing a couple of the babies this year, and next year, more will be tested.

In 2016, I paired my Miami Tessera holdback male, Brokk, with a borrowed Amel female (RO from Glacier Rodents) to see if he was het for Amel. He did prove to be het for Amel.
That thread is HERE.

I held back one of those babies, an Amel Tessera. The red on her red is amazing. She is HERE.
