Pop-up Alert for PM's and Attached Pictures

I used to always get a pop-up when I had a new PM. I still have that option checked, but I don't get them anymore. Is this common or am I the only one?

Also, some of the pictures added as attachments aren't showing up for me. They seemed to work right after the forum conversion, but not now.:confused: Maybe it's a browser issue? I use Opera, but have never noticed any browser-specific problems before.:shrugs:
