For those doubters, here's proof that 13 hours of work at the NHS coalface is not conducive to lookin' good! It was a hectic day, with emergency transfer of a patient to a specialist unit, spoonfeeding lazy doctors to prescribe the right drugs in the right ways, one of the staff went home early, sick, and supporting my remaining junior as well as getting 5 patients home in one piece. (This includes begging the pharmacy to get their stuff ready quicker while their relatives are complaining about the cost of parking at the hospital, and fielding their complaints)
