FeedersAny and all issues about raising rats, mice, or anything else that you feed your cornsnakes.
Like, let's say, if I bought ten (for one snake) and I feed every five days, would they last? I would feel terrible if I had a lot of spoiled mice. It would be a waste of a mouse life...
I try to feed mine off within a year. I have a deep freeze just for mice (well, two deep freezers), and they keep very well in the sealed packages at 38 below zero. Once opened, the clock is ticking somewhat, so just keep them out of the freezer for as short a time possible, and press all the air out of the bag before putting them back.
Thank you, Chip. Would they last as long in a normal freezer, like the ones attached to a fridge? And also, if I were to get pinkie mice at a Reptile Show, how much are they on average?
I try to order 6 months worth at a time. I keep them in a deep freezer too. If you have a vacuum sealer I would seal them in a months worth per bag. It's air that gives them freezer burn.
