Mice Delivery

As i live in the UK the food is v. expensive for my snakes - 50p for 1 fuzzy!!!(around 80 cents i think). yet if i order over the internet i can get them for 14p each.
My question is if they come with the outer layer of mice deforsted then would it be ok if i refroze the unfrozen and fed them first to the snakes (1 corn and 1 japanese rat so they'd go quite quick)???
Eliot

PS: if anyone in the UK buys their mice someplace different and the stay frozen for a small delivery charge then i would be v. grateful to know.

I'm not sure that's at all possible, since shipped mice are packed in dry ice and then put into a styrofoam box. I used to order mice but stopped when I started breeding, and the mice always arrived rock solid frozen even after 24 hours of delivery.

However, if the mice do thaw to room temperature (which wouldn't be good at all), I would not feed them due to the rampant amount of bacteria that could be present.
