Question Shrinking F/T mice?

This is less of an issue and more of an observation. For the past couple of feedings I've noticed that the fuzzy "shrinks" as it thaws out. My routine has been putting the frozen fuzzy out on the counter 1.5 hours beforehand and lately it seems to go from a fat young mouse to a pinky!

Does this happen to anyone else? Is it because water inside the mouse expands when as it's frozen? Optical illusion? The size difference throws me off and now I think I need to get something bigger...

large pinks and small fuzzies can be pretty similar.

Normally, things expand when they're heated. Weird

It is because the water inside the mouse expands as it freezes, like you said. As it thaws, it shrinks down to its normal size.

While some things do expand as they are heated, this generally occurs when things are heated above normal temperatures, not brought back from freezing temperatures. Of course, this all depends on what's being heated.

They're "magic mice".
